We began a Christ centered 5K run 4 years ago!

It features a 5k run, 1 mile fun run and 1 mile Faith Walk with christian bands along the course, and worship music in the park. This year there will be a Christian concert following the awards!
You should bring some of your friends and come be a part, it is a great event, and is to the glory of God!

Somehow, I came across this blog. It’s great! If is a blessing to read how your spiritual journey has intersected with your running. I have had the same experience. I am an evangelist and international conference speaker who began re-running 5 years ago after cancer surgery. It has been a tremendous blessing in my life. I have just come out with a book about the biblical truths that I have learned through running. http://www.thebooktherace.com. It is refreshing to read others who have had similar experiences. I’ve just come from a five mile run in which I spent the entire time thinking up ways to bring together running, my church and our local community. I searched online for Christain runners and came across your blog! Wow, great stuff!!!! My husband and I both run, we also have three kids (ages 7,5 and 3), we work full-time and are active in our church. I find that there are so many parallels to running and being a Christian. I really enjoyed reading your blog. I found it interesting and inspirational THANK YOU :0)

Great post! A Facebook friend sent me a link to your blog. I’m glad he did! Thanks for reminder to keep priorities in line. I like the idea of downloading podcasts of sermons. I’ll have to give that a try… maybe it’ll help keep my mind off of aches & pains.
